The soft shale is made up of clay and silt and once exposed to the elements after falling from the cliff, these large lumps of shale decompress and become very unstable! 😁 The first nodule contained a beautiful tenuicostatum Ammonite fossil… With a little persuasion from the hammer the second rock in the video split perfectly in half to reveal a stunning Eleganticeras Ammonite fossil! The final rock in the video contained a coprolite fossil!
