Here is a naturally spherical stone that we found! It was in a loose shale slab after falling from the cliff onto the beach... Once extracted we opened it up with our large hammer! What will be inside? 🐊🔨 These ammonites are around 185 Million Years Old and looked a little like modern day squid! Here’s a cephalopod we found on a pebble beach! 🏝️ This had been freshly exposed, we were so lucky to have found it! 🤯 It also had a fossilised tree preserved next to it! 🌲

Here’s a huge Ichthyosaur vertebra we found in a rock pool! How long had it been sat there? The surrounding nodule was coated in natural pyrite which we had to remove using the tools at home.
