Lets stop you getting bored on your runs girlies!!! 1) Switch up your music: I used to switch the playlist/ genre when I was doing a long run. For example, first 10km slow and cinematic, second 10km todays pop hits and final 10km would be a playlist of my personal favs! 2) Switch up your routes: no one wants to be looking at the same scenery every week, switch over to some trials maybe drive to a new location! 3) Listen to a podcast or audiobook: I love listening to running podcasts of people talking about their running achievements to get me motivated! 4) Practice gratitude: running gives you an amazing space to think so utilise it. Every 3km I would think of something im grateful for and really reflect on it, this just gives you a good prompt for some thinking time 🫶🏼 #runningjourney #runningtips #runningmotivation

Training easier to make your races faster!! I am so guilty of letting my ego overtake and not actually doing my zone 2 heart rate training but this year I’ve really implemented it and OH MY GOODNESS HAS IT PAID OFF!! It is now my favourite way to run especially because of the results I’ve seen 🫶🏼 Its allowed my body to adapt to the endurance of longer runs and made it so much more efficient which is how I ran my half marathon at a quicker pace and it felt far easier than other runs I’ve done at that pace! Not to mention my body feels so much better recovery wise this morning! Huge phatttt disclaimer, the refrence to an ‘easier pace’ is completely personal. Everyones easy pace is different but this is mine after two years of running (some peoples easy pace is my race pace just to reiterate how personal it is!!) #runningtips #runningjourney #runningadvice

Replying to @Msee how many miles a week should you run when training for a marathon? Everyone is going to be different. Plan on 2-3 60-70 minute mid week runs during training and 1-2 long runs starting around 1 hour 40 minutes and getting up to 3 hours on the weekends. When should you start training for the chicago marathon? Break it into two different goals. Base building for 8 weeks and then marathon training for 16 weeks.
