The main comment I get from public school parents when I talk about starting my unschool journey is “how will they socialize”… I’m sorry, but that’s not the biggest issue at hand & if you’re worried about your child having friends MORE than what they are being exposed to, we have an issue. As a homeschooler myself, I remember socializing a tonnnn through activities my mom put me in and the adventures we would take. I learned more before the age of 13 than I did in the two years of public school I did. Public school traumatized me. Which is why I’m deciding to pull my 1st grader from public school to unschool. I’m more worried about his mental health than if he knows how to make friends (which he WILL know btw) I’m on a mission to help more mamas control their kids future while also ENJOYING it. You’ll need tons of energy to do so & a source of remote income. I can help with both!
