I remember hearing these words and thinking about how so subtly we will discredit the move of God in this next generation. Saying comments of we’re building up the “future of the church” or “laying the foundation” when discipling young kids and teens. Although to those comments are not being said maliciously, it is misguided thinking. Your kids and teenagers have access to the same Spirit of God who is not limited by age or experience. They are not the future of the church, they ARE the church. And yes laying the foundation is a part of all of our walks with the Lord but we never stop there, they are building their house upon that firm foundation!
