There are hundreds of species within the Lomatium genus, or biscuitroot/breadroot genus. Lomatium martindalei is a plant I met last year. The leaves and roots are food. The leaves taste exactly like cilantro and if enough roots are gathered, they would make for a full stomach. Erythronium revolutum or Trout lily/fawn lily is easy enough to identify and the entire plant is food. Please be kind to the places you forage and never overharvest. These plants are food for pollinators and many other animals.
