Just yesterday I told one of my coworkers that since getting disabled, I had to quit fencing and doing sports like ice skating or rollerblading. I also stopped playing the guitar completely since my memory loss erased all chords and melodies I could play from my brain. My fingers also can’t move as well anymore, which makes playing hard. Just a few weeks ago I went to a skate park with my bestie, both of us in our wheelchairs, and I had my skates with me, but after only skating for about 1 1/2 hour at 17° celsius, I was d34d for the rest of the day. I was completely exhausted and in massive pain for three days afterwards. It made me realize how bad my disabilities got, even though I get accommodations and medical aids. I love my disabled self.
