You can do it! It’s not hard I promise. Details⬇️ Meanwhile, I’m obsessed with my nails in this (from 2021). If you notice that recently my nails are always painted, there is a very good reason for that. Let’s just say as my PSA for the week: do NOT put on a fake tan then paint your nails straight after. Unless of course you love yellow, in which case: go for it! Sometimes I do stupid things without thinking when I’m tired. Just me?? The months growing them out have been soooo much fun.🎉🫶🥹🥳 Am I sharing too much because I’ve had wine alongside cold & flu meds. Maybe. But I stand by my decision to warn the public at large. But let’s get back to it! Chickpeas are my FAVOURITE!!! I’ve had these since 2021. I have added a couple bags (which I coloured straight in the bags- messy but less waste). I now need to add a couple more small bags. My current class is into sorting them, which is great for visual discrimination and developing their fine motor skills. There is the tendency to cross the midline too, so that’s great also! I’m going to create a fine motor transition activity (check out my recent reel on this) for them. It makes me so incredibly happy to see people putting that idea of mine into practice because they are finding the same positive results. It completely changes the focus for that middle session for classes I’ve used it with. Anyway, that’s a story for another day. Questions always welcome and I’m open to chats in the comments. You all know it’s a bit hit and miss in my DMs. Sorry! I randomly answer there. I’m not at all perfect- just doing the best I can to help all the parents and educators, who are also doing the best they can. Hands up all of you who acknowledge we are squarely focused on progress over perfection (with a bit of fun along the way😉🎉). I hope your Friday night is not one you have to endure, but rather, one you get to enjoy🫶 Jen x #sensoryplay #playbasedlearning #finemotorskills #tufftray #sensorytray #earlychildhoodeducation #earlyyearsideas #learningthroughplay #teachersfollowteachers #classroom #kindergarten #teachersoftiktok #aussieteachertribe #wherelearningmeetsplay #reggioinspired #earlyyears #sensorybin
Number formation rhymes for the win🙌 My class love these! There are plenty of other options available- just Google until you find a set you like. This is my fav, except 6. You can also say “the stick and hoop do the trick, that’s the way to make a six.” Still don’t love that one, but I can live with it.😂 You can also replace ‘make’ with ‘write’ every time, if you prefer. This is what I have found to be most successful (I used these when I taught numeracy support for MANY years). This may be helpful for parents supporting learning at home too. Let me know if you would like a bit of a longer version, because I filmed that too while I was at it. I couldn’t decide what to post😂 Hope you find this a little helpful🥰 Let me know if you will give it a go! - Jen #wherelearningmeetsplay #playbasedlearning #numeracy #earlynumeracy #numberformation #teachersfollowteachers #teacherlife #aussieteachertribe #teachersofinstagram
