This horse is something special ❤️. I have preferred animals over people since i was a wee little in the closet boy. They kept me grounded and hopeful. And im so glad that i never lost that. Connecting to them is so theraputic. Im a lucky man. For my family, for this life. I have to remind myself of that often. This is rio. Before we became an animal sanctuary, I bought him planning on training him and selling him. After 5 months, i realized im not a horse seller lol. That was 10 yesrs ago and hes still here. But I worked in a bird store when I was 16 and the owner told me how nippy they were. So it wasn’t until one was surrender to me and I got to experience it. Shes so much better now. Anything can happen with a freeflight. As far as birds of prey go, every place that parents are found in the wild, there are birds of prey. we do our best to make sure that our birds are super fit and prepared.in case they encounter a BOP. They all instinctively are watching out and scan in the sky all the time and also alert each other when any suspicious birds are near. That’s not to say it couldn’t happen.. but give me less years living like rhis over 40- 60 - 80 years sittjng in a living room in a cage or on a perch. This way of keeping birth is not for everyone and there’s plenty of birds in captivity that live very full of lives indoors. But if a bird comes to me with potential, and I feel I’m capable of gifting this to them, then why woudlnt i? ❤️ #parrots #parrots #parrot #freeflightedparrott# #parrottok

As im sitting here redoing these videos, i was thinkng… why the hell have i always been obsessed with birds ? Its so strange how people gravitate towards certain things naturally. When i think about how many hours of my life have involved birds in some way shape or form.. its a little nuts 😅😅. Catching them as a kid, hours of homework in my aviary, to keeping parrots emus ect.
