So don’t forget to tell yourself that, daily! Erin Baker: Say yes before you’re ready and figure it out on the way! It’s OK to say no too… you and your health come first. Camille Addo: Learn to trust yourself! Follow your instincts and your gut… it’s there for a reason. Sharon Marshall: Getting involved in other industries and volunteering really opens your eyes up to new possibilities, you also appreciate where you’re at more- find the time, it’s worth it! Dyana Najdi: Take care of your health and look after yourself. Self care is important and you’ll do your best work! Me: No one ever becomes poor by giving, so give as much value as you can. You may be wondering what Eid actually is… You may know we have two (seems a bit excessive) 🤣 So here’s the short answers which I hope answers your questions… ✨ We have two Eid’s per year… Eid-ul-Fitr (which is this one) and Eid-ul-Adha which is going to be around 16th June this year. ✨ Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, which is 30 days of Muslims fasting, giving charity and working on their connection with God. ✨ Eid is a celebration and a gift from God to celebrate the success and hard work from Ramadan. Families and communities come together and appreciate our blessings and one another. (And eat loads of food. Oops) ✨ A few things were meant to do on/for Eid: - Our 5 daily prayers (we do this anyway) + Eid prayer - Pay a donation to the poor before Eid prayer (this is called Zakat-Al-Fitr) It’s around £7 - Take a bath/wash yourself, put perfume on and dress in beautiful clothes (new is recommended if possible) - Eat breakfast (we’re not allowed to fast on this day) We also: connect with family & friends, go out and eat or cook at home for guests, give presents to one another and give charity to the poor. So Eid Mubarak to you 🌙✨ -Thanks again to @JCT600 Lotus Bradford for lending me their lovely Eletre for Eid. It turned many heads, including mine and was a joy to drive.
