Sunday isn't a bad person, he mean well, but his closed mind, his stubbornness, and his lack of knowledge about the real world made him do what he did. He fails to understand how complex the world is and chose the simplest solution (I would like to clarify that this was most likely heavily influenced by the dream master) I say he is closed minded because of how radical his options are, there's two extremes and he can't think of any solution in between( Support Robin's dream AND teach her how to protect herself, or keep working under the Harmony but get rid of the corrupt people of The Family) He obviously doesn't know a lot about the world, he doesn't understand that the paradise it's something that cost money to enter and cost money to maintain, that people can't afford to dream forever and that the dreams are an escape that will make people don't solve their problems in real life but it's so stubborn that he picks everything he can, gaslighting Robin and even himself to think he is doing the right thing. Lumine and Dain have a very complicated but somehow relatable relationship.They started their journey after the fall of Khaenriah and Lumine was visibly depressed, they were together just because they felt connected by the same trauma and they didn't want to be alone but they don't appear close, Dain is always keeping his distance from Lumine and Lumine doesn't look at Dain. As they visit more nations the gap between them starts expanding, being Sumeru the place where they separated completely because we don't see Dain at all. Maybe this was becuad of Lumine, she started to get more motivation along the way(Her eyes were lacking of any light but they start to shine again along the way) and her believes became different from Dain.In Sumeru she ask him to join her and the Abyss Order, Dain don't accept this request and Lumine felt that like a betrayal, she thought they understood each other and wanted the same because of the experiences they had when since the beginning they had different views about it but they didn't disscuss about it because they didn't want to separate and be alone in such a vulnerable moment but now that they healed enough they don't need each other anymore, so the go different paths.
