My overstimulation 🫠

😭 Beckham was turned away from daycare today .. I showed up to the gym after spending an hour getting myself & the baby ready, drove 20 minutes to the gym, only for the daycare staff to tell me they were “under staffed” and couldn’t take the baby. Not gonna lie. It would’ve been easy for me to walk away & say f*ck it. I’ve done it before 🤷🏻‍♀️ I drove home, got the stroller, put the baby in the stroller, walked down to the apartment gym, fed her, changed her, rocked her, got interrupted 1200 times .. actually cried a little. The overstimulation is REAL. 😭 Old me would have went home & said “oh well guess I’m not working out today.” I would have left irritated in tears. I remember saying things to myself like, “why even bother, I’ll just stay looking like this cuz I can’t ever catch a damn break, why even try anyways.” So why did I stay? 👉🏼 It’s simple: because I have practiced DISCIPLINE during the greatest adversities in my life.. when it would have been “easier” to walk away. I’ve sacrificed, I’ve been uncomfortable, I’ve made situations work in my favor no matter the circumstance. I’ve planned hikes where babysitters bailed & I strapped my kid in a backpack and did it anyway. 🗣️My advice: FOLLOW YOUR PLAN & NOT YOUR MOOD. Watch what happens if you stick to that motto 👆🏼
