Next is Harrah’s. I booked a “Mountain View Queen Room”. These rooms appear to have been fairly recently renovated and with a base rate under $30, I was pleasantly surprised. With resort fee it was still under $100 making this a solid budget choice with an excellent location walkable to most attractions. Overall this resort is crowded and dated, but feels lively. This is considered a budget resort, so do not expect frills and luxury. There is always an expectation of a wait when checking into a hotel. Standing in line for hours after traveling, with luggage, at 8 pm on your first night in Las Vegas is not a great look. This is the exact scenario where managers and supervisors should be greating guests, handing out water, welcoming them and doing what they can with available resources to expedite service. I have the luxury of being able to go home and try another day, but the majority of visitors will stand in that line for hours. How is Fontainebleau Las Vegas doing 90 days after their star studded grand opening? While this is the slowest time of year and the property is still finding it’s clientele base, they’re staying busier than I expected. It takes time for a new property to catch on, which means there is ample opportunity for visitors who like to try the newest and best before they’re trending and you can still get deals on rooms and secure good restaurant reservations. Our newest resort is a fantastic choice and it is only going to get better. I realize it gets more views to create doomsday sensationalism. These rooms appear to have been fairly recently renovated and with a base rateusually between $150 and $300 I was expecting luxury and I was happy with the reality of the room. With resort fee it was still under $300 and I feel like this was a bargain for the price point. Boasting the largest selection of restaurants and collective shopping, this is a resort that will exceed the expectations of most. I went back to check on Un Poko Krazy after visiting them last year.
