We did it ! We laid our first floor ever and what a beauty it is, right? Another skill that we can add to our list 🙂 As you know, we built our garden room last year to be used as a workshop and the original wooden floors were such a nightmare to keep clean and hoover; we made the decision to install laminate flooring over it ourselves. What do you do with your burnt botanical candles? I just couldn’t bring myself to throw it in a bin and waste it so I decided to turn it into a cute present. Process: • cut the carcass into pieces, used a hot knife to make it easier • melted the wax • used a sieve to get all the unwanted bits from the wax • attached wicks to the bowl and glasses • you can get a full candle wick set from @Amazon • pour the wax into the bowl and the glasses •Bowl is from @TWC and the glasses are from @Homesense • let it settle • added little decorations to the side so it’s away from the wicks, this is optional • added extra thin layer of wax so the decoration stick to the existing layer • added some ribbon • and that’s it… you have a new candle bowl that would make a lovely present for the upcoming Mother’s Day.
