#ad 🖼️ (ad) Rubens painted The Miraculous Draught of Fishes specifically for the Church of Our Lady in Mechelen (Belgium), and yes: you can still see it in its original location! ❤️ Many artworks are designed to be hung at a specific location (a church, a palace…) but are later moved to museums. Which is a shame. Luckily, ‘Flemish Masters in Situ’ has mapped dozens of paintings, sculptures, altarpieces and other works that are still at the place for which they were originally created.
