who needs 24/7 electricity and running water when you can spend all your time doing fun things in your community?! just like in stardew valley, I'm finding the most fun part of life is getting to know people, going to local festivals, and making my community the best it can be ☺️ there is plenty of time in the mornings to stay ontop of my gardening and animals but then it's time to head into town and keep lists of birthdays, likes, and dislikes. having a sense of community is so underrated. A life full of crafts, fresh veggies, and cute animals has been amazing for my mental health but pales in comparison to the feelings of fulfilment that comes with hanging out with other passionate people creating a better community. so excited to have toy library open again and I can't wait to start doing community board game sessions, mending/crafts and movie nights, and bike repairs!! ☺️🥰 if you're ever interested in starting community initiatives I'm always happy to help with where to start 😄 #villagelife #cottagecore #solarpunk

I still don't understand how there are people with unfathomable wealth out there and they are not choosing to spend it on creating a world where every human has a right to time for hobbies, a warm dry home, healthy local foods, an accessible community, and thriving public healthcare and education systems. maybe it's time to start slaying dragons so we can use that gold on bettering our villages and stopping cities from being burnt to the ground. why watch other's live in disgusting levels of opulence when you can make real tangible changes in your community by going to local council meetings, starting or helping with community gardens, food pantries, and workshops, or lobbying local government for changes you'd like to see in your community. you just need internet access and a document editing app to make grant application and submissions! #solarpunk #cottagecore #offgridliving #hobbitcore #blockparty

late Autumn in our offgrid cottage home 🍁🍂 back to mornings and evening's without electricity, firewood and kindling, and winter greens. After running out of water with the drought this summer, I'm taking the opportunity to build a more resilient herb and tea garden. I've added deep layers of ✨️aged mulch✨️ (very rotted mulch the local supplier was offloading) and I'm moving a few things around. I've also expanded the veggie garden and started assembling the old glasshouse my friend gave me. #offgridliving #cottagecore #solarpunk
