Replying to @michele.barbannas since these treadmills are completely powered by the dogs, they can stop any time if they want essentially. Both treadmills have a brake if needed. Some dogs will stop when you give them a toy. Some will stop easily with voice or gestures. This happens to be excitement for treadmill work, but they have this same love for almost any kind activity! They enjoy springpole, Bikejoring, fetch, wall climb, lure chase, A frame, swimming and a whole lot of other activities! Lucy has always been tolerant of Ferni playing on the spring pole with her but I can't stress enough how dangerous this can be with certain dogs. Way back early in 2018,when the sport of Top Dog was still very new, I participated in my first ever Top Dog event at the RGM invitational in SLC, Utah! The wall climb was a much more dangerous event back then as the harnesses system had not yet been implemented. Who knew I would become so addicted to this sport! It breaks my heart that this beautiful dog that I started this journey with is no longer with me. I cherish these memories however! There was an alarming amount of people commenting on a couple of recent treadmill videos that my dogs need to go outside for walks instead of run on the treadmill! Well, let me assure you they go outside all the time! Secondly the treadmill is a training /conditioning tool I use not for lack of space or time! My dogs are competitive athletes and enjoy hours of exercise in many different forms each day!
