RIP to that sports bra and shorts 😂. Raise your hand if you’re guilty of thinking this though 🙋🏽♂️. We’ve met so many people that think working out and lifting heavy things was going to make them look “masculine” and super muscular. What’s funny about that line of thinking is totally discounting the hard work (and years of training) people HAVE to put into growing muscles, as if you’re just going to touch a dumbbell and have giant biceps by accident 😂. In addition to this, women don’t have the testosterone levels that men do in order to get bulky. So spoiler alert, you’re not going to get bulky or look masculine if you lift weights. It’s literally not in your chemical makeup. You will however, build a more aesthetic and athletic build 🙌🏻. In reality weight lifting has many benefits: 1. Increases bone density 2. Releases endorphins that improve mood and cognitive function 3. Builds muscle which will improve quality of life and how you look in the mirror (body composition) 4. Protects against injury 5. Improves heart health and helps manage blood sugar levels 6. Boosts self esteem #gymhumor #fitmom #fitdad #gymgirlsoftiktok #GymLife #fitcouple #fyp #liftingweights #bodybuilding #GymTok #gymrat #FitTok #womenwholiftheavy #transformation
