If you want to decorate your home using beige and grey, go for it! Both colours are actually very useful at times as they go with everything and are suitable for different room aspects but I definitely agree with the audio - it is very odd that people have been encouraged to always think about the next owner of the house and reselling… whilst this is important when you do come to sell, it doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy your home whilst you’re living there! Decorate your home how you like, you’re the one living there - not the person who might move in after you who doesn’t even know that your home exists. #interiordesignideas #homeinteriordesign

I actually said the words “the dining room was the last room in the house that we needed to decorate” the other day. The kitchen renovation was the last home interior project and we said that we would wait a while before starting the next DIY project but then we cracked on with the dining room! Having such a gorgeous kitchen has spurred me on to the next project. We love cooking in the kitchen now and I even love using the kitchen sink for the washing up! And the shelves… I love styling the shelves every so often and it’s really helped us to manage our kitchen storage and help organise our kitchen accessories, storage jars and cook books. What’s more, turning what was a small kitchen into something that feels so much more spacious has shown us how simple design choices can really impact a space. The simple details of the sage green cabinets, marble worktop (not real, it’s laminate) and the white kitchen tiles offer a great canvas for styling. Our enjoyment of the kitchen has highlighted how much we needed to sort out the dining room, which is now nearly complete so I will be sharing that soon! #smallkitchen #smallkitchendesign #greencabinets #homeinteriordesign

It’s always the way… you work hard on something only to realise that you have a lot more work left to do! We’ve been so happy to say that after nearly 7 years of home renovations and DIY projects, we have nearly finished the house. We just have a couple more home interior projects left but I’m also now turning my attention to the garden. I had done a lot of work on the garden a few years ago with painting fences and trellises and re-pointing the patios… which was all very useful work but we have so much more to do. I know that when we are done that it is going to look amazing, especially as we’re so lucky to have such an unusual terraced garden. #gardeningideas #terracedgarden #interiordesigning
