If you feel like you have to scream at a child for them to listen, that says a lot more about you than it does the child. Resorting to yelling over the smallest things tells me that you, the parent, lacks the tools to discipline and relate to your child effectively. Of course we all mess up and lose our cool sometimes, but screaming should never be the goal or go-to. So many people say gentle parenting is only for gentle kids, but gentle parents RAISE gentle children.
