We got our RV painted in Mexico🚐🇲🇽🎨 (part 1) Our friend recommended this family down in Cabo who has a paint shop. So we thought why not get our rv painted while we are down here 🤷🏻‍♀️ They said it would be 17,000 pesos ($995 USD). We chose 2 different colors, acrylic paint, and a gloss finish. That’s what mainly took a lot of time to translate in order to figure out exactly what we wanted. They said it would take 3-4 days and we could still stay inside our RV while they worked. Who else has thought about quitting their job + selling everything?🫣 It’s a scary thought. I mean it’s engrained in us to have a routine from grade school. It’s engrained in us to go to college and get a good job. Buy a house, have kids etc. Nothing is wrong with that if that’s what you want, but if it’s not what you want… then know there’s nothing wrong with that either. The rules are made up 🤷🏻‍♀️ For us, we felt like the Lord has always given us peace with this big decision of uprooting our lives. Life update since we crossed the US/Mexico border 🇲🇽🚐 We came back into the states about 2.5 weeks ago and a lot has happened since. We are slowly making our way to Alaska for the summer, but we want to hit some bucket list spots on our way up! We heard about @experienceidyllwild and knew it would be the perfect area to reset after being at the beach for 6 weeks. We mostly relaxed and got work done. After California, we hit Nevada! Anyone else plan trips around Instagram places?😂🤷🏻‍♀️ This is a hot topic with some people because social media can and has ruined places. But who are we to gatekeep places that we explore? We are always careful in how we share certain places, but everything in this video is either a national park, or it would be a blessing to small business owners to have more visitors 🫶🏼 When you plan a visit anywhere… respect the land, leave no trace, and leave it better than you found it. We only have one earth 🌎 ANYWHO… here’s what we did: 📍Bryce Canyon Queens Garden Navajo Loop This was honestly one of our top places we’ve been to in Utah! It was snowy and muddy since we went in March. But at least it wasn’t hot. It was 3 miles round trip and we got there before sunrise to get a parking. (Recommended because the lot is small) 📍Zion National Park We were too chicken to do angels landing and the road was closed to do narrows, so we did Pa’arus trail (easy 3 miles) and Zion overlook trail, which is similar views to angels landing. It’s an easy .9 mile trail and you get to drive through the iconic tunnel to get there. Also extremely limited parking… so get there early 📍Fort Zion We actually saw this on the side of the road and it looked so cute!! It’s a mini ghost town with alpacas, goats, miniature horses, and yaks! It’s connected to a gift shop but it’s $1 a person to go out and explore the little houses. Highly recommend even as adults 😉 📍Grafton Ghost Town Apparently we love exploring ghost towns😂 but the history is amazing! They have the old school house, homes and cemeteries scattered around and it was so cool to walk around and imagine what it would have been like in the 1800s to live here and have the insane views of the Zion peaks. This is free but there are donation boxes 📍Feel Love Coffee On your way out of Zion NP, be sure to stop by this coffee shop! Not only is it super aesthetic (which you gotta love) but the coffee was honestly some of the best I’ve had. Replying to @rlh We got our RV painted in Mexico part 2 🚐🇲🇽🎨 On day 4 the white painte was officially done but we had to wait an additional day for the grey on the lower part of the rv. But it gave us more time with the family since we had to stay inside their home while they painted. We played many games of uno, chess, a Spanish game that we didn’t know the name of, and ate more of the abuelas food🥹 they of course spoke only Spanish so I tried my best from my 1.5 years of practicing @duolingo to talk with them. (They said my Spanish was pretty good but I think they were just being nice 😂) but honestly thank goodness for Google translate because we were able to have fun conversations and learned about each others families. ❤️ When the rv was done getting painted, I felt so much sadness because I did not want to leave this family. They were SO kind. Welcoming us into their home, offering us food, showers, a free place to stay… it was all too much 😭 we have gotten some ugly comments on our previous video about this process… and shame on you. I pray you watch this and remember that these are actual human beings and just because you hear things on the news about people from other countries doesn’t mean that that encompasses an ENTIRE population. Remember to be kind, even from sitting behind your screen.

Living in an RV in Zion National Park🚐🌲 We stayed in a boondocking spot that was about 20 minutes away from the park, so we would wake up at 5am to drive into the park and get a spot for the rv. The visitor center was basically empty when we got there. That was the perfect time to make a quick breakfast before hitting one of the super easy but beautiful hikes in Zion. It’s the Pa’arus trail which is 3 miles long from the visitor center and down into the park. No shuttle is needed which is a win in our book 👏🏼 After the hike we stopped by @feellovecoffeezion ☕️ highly recommend this coffee shop if you’re in the area! Amazing atmosphere and amazing coffee 🤤 #rvlife #rvliving #travel #zion #Hiking #adventure

How much we spent in March living in an RV 🚐💰 This total is ONLY what is actually RV related. So I did not include things like food, internet, phone, etc. That varies from person to person so we only share what is relevant for those curious about RV life 🫶🏼 Before you freak out about the high maintenance cost… we had to do a lot this month (and last month since I included our paint job) Tyler redid our brakes, and unfortunately we can to completely redo our shower floor. Along with some other misc things. Next month SHOULD be lower but you never know with this lifestyle and that’s why we have a 3-6 month emergency fund. Gas will continue to always be our biggest expense especially since we are driving to Alaska this summer. RV Chore Day 🚐⛽️💩🛒🚿 We just crossed back into the states from Mexico which means we have a million chores to do. The biggest priority is taking a shower and thank goodness for @pilotflyingj 👏🏼 We were going to drive to an actual campsite the first day but we had so many chores we didn’t make it. So we just stayed at the gas station. Travel Day in Baja 🚐🌴🇲🇽 We left our free campsite in Tecalote and headed to La Ribera. This part of our road trip was extremely windy and steep roads. Day 20 of our roadtrip to Baja🚐🌴 This was truly my favorite day that we have had so far 🥹 going to Ranch Ecológico Sol de Mayo is a MUST. You can stay the night on the property which has goats, donkeys, horses, rabbits, turtles, and peacocks 🐐🐇🐢🦚 It’s $13/per person to go on the hike down to the oasis and it’s definitely worth it. We went pretty early so no one was there yet. It was pretty cold 🥶 but once the sun was beating on us it was refreshing to jump in. There’s also a restaurant on the property, and the food was soooo good. I recommend getting the lemonade with mineral water. 🍋 On our way to Cabo, we saw a stand on the road which looked like they sold coconuts but they only sold ice cream 🍦 which was still a win in my books and the perfect way to end the day. 🫶🏼 #rvlife #rvliving #vanlife #vanlifediaries #adventure #travel #baja
