Can you relate? - part 39/50 ADHD Life Lessons i wish someone told me after getting diagnosed, number 39 of 50 If you have ADHD, you will often have moments in public or with people where you almost out of nowhere, start feeling bad and depressed. Even if you felt great before, all a sudden, you’re on edge, you snap more. You try to find if someone's words or actions caused the shift But, nothing changed in the last few minutes, leaving you confused on why life is always be this unpredictable rollercoaster ride. This is when I learned about adhd mood swings and how to get back into a positive state of mind. I realized that our brains struggle to regulate the chemicals that make us happy, which is why we often have sudden mood spikes. This means that being in a bad mood is usually not the fault of the people we are with or our environment. Now, when on edge, I first try things that boost my dopamine. I drink coffee or do a quick burst of movement, which helps catch my brain before it enters into a downward spiral. Can you relate? This is the bright side, of adhd. 1. Yes, you have trouble focusing on individual things but this gives you a **broad** focus, which makes you an amazing problem solver since you’re always able to see the big picture 2. yes, you have a constant craving for dopamine but this actually gives you the ability to become very calm and focused in high-pressure environments because these provide your brain with the dopamine you need. 3. yes, you have a constant need for stimulation but this can actually make you very funny and enthusiastic because you’re always looking for a laugh 4. Yes, you’re always distracted but this also makes you very creative because you’re able to pay attention to a lot more things at once and recognize seemingly unrelated patterns, 5. and even though you have trouble focusing on things you aren’t interested in, you’re able to hyperfocus on things that you are, giving you the power to put in a days work in just a few hours. So yes, ADHD has a dark side, but we often forget that there is also a bright side. Not forgetting about and findings areas which rewards these strengths will lead you to see possibility where there wasn’t any before to ultimately help you rise above your limitations. #adhdcantstopme Disclaimer: All my content is based on my own experience and/or research/observations from licensed professionals. Can you relate? The Nr. 1 Thing I wish someone told me after getting diagnosed with adhd is that it can be the root cause of all your life’s problems. Yes, from the outside you may have trouble just sitting still and focusing, but internally your brain is constantly restless, which in about 50% of cases leads to having consistent anxiety throughout your life, you are also constantly forced to wear this social mask because you’re afraid disrupting the norm with your odd behavior, which leads to social anxiety and people pleasing. AND Because you’re often so misunderstood, you stop believing in yourself, result in lost hope and an incredibly low feeling of self-worth. So, adhd is rarely just about focus and attention, which is incredibly important to become aware of, because once you learn that’s there’s a reason for these challenges, you can start addressing them. For me, mindfulness, therapy, as well as other techniques, have finally led to understanding and self-love, which have been the biggest pillars for being able to craft the life I love. I’m now finally able to focus on growth instead of limitation. Instead of telling myself this is too difficult, I’ve learned that it will simply take time and if I can do it, you can too. Can you relate? - part 7🚀 ADHD Superpowers I wish I knew about before getting diagnosed, part 7 If you have ADHD, you tend to be really hungry for new knowledge. You frequently ask “why” and always want to understand new concepts immediately because of the dopamine hit you get when absorbing these new ideas. Therefore, when something novel, risky, or challenging sparks your interest, you can go on this hyper-fixated hunt for hours or days in order to satisfy your brains desire. Overall, this leads you to be a very open-minded person, with a big and unique desire for constant learning throughout your life, making you a very critical thinker and giving you the ability to explore new knowledge and ideas in ways they’ve never been explored before. Some, call it being internally restless, others call it: ADHD curiosity. Disclaimer: All my content is based on my own experience and/or research/observations from licensed professionals. Can you relate? The worst Part about ADHD that no one talks about… Is the constant feeling of not being understood and disapproved by neurotypical people. All they see is your surface-level manifestations: inattention, perceived lack of effort, carelessness, and laziness What they fail to grasp is the immense effort it takes to achieve even modest results. They don’t see the constant battle against procrastination, executive paralysis, guilt, and overwhelming thoughts that plague our minds. It can feel like being trapped in a soundproof bubble where even if you’d cry for help it would go unheard. It’s that from the outside everything seems to be totally fine, but inside it isn’t. This lack of visibility into our internal battles often leads to ADHD not being taken seriously enough. The outcome is feeling misunderstood, isolated and like something is wrong with you. If you resonate with this experience and are tired of feeling this way, there’s hope: I’ve discovered a scientifically-backed process to overcome negative emotions, beat procrastination, eliminate executive paralysis, and achieve consistent life changing focus and execution at the push of a button, without relying on discipline, willpower or medication. I’m hosting a free event on February 24th, where I’ll reveal this transformative process along with other exclusive insights. Click the link in my bio to secure your ticket! Can you relate? If you have ADHD you know this one dark emotion very well… Guaranteed It’s Frustration. The Frustration of not being able to complete the things you said you’re going to do. The Frustration of having to explain to others that you’re not lazy but actually stuck in executive paralysis for hours screaming at yourself to finally do what you wanted but you just can’t do it. The frustration of feeling different, not normal, constantly being told things you already know yourself but just can’t figure out how to change. All this piles up into a huge emotional baggage where it’s often hard to continue having hope. But there is a solution. A solution to end this cycle of frustration. To finally break free from the procrastination, the executive dysfunction, the paralysis and poor focus. And it’s a science backed process that helped me and hundreds of my followers break through negative emotions and beat procrastination, executive paralysis, and achieve consistent life changing focus, concentration and execution at the push of a button, without relying on discipline, willpower or medication. I’m hosting a free event on the 24th of February where I will reveal the exact process with insights I’ve shared never before. Can you relate? Nothing triggers ADHD Frustration like this: Deciding to turn your whole life around once again, then actually making progress and getting things done, finally feeling on top of everything… Until like 2 weeks in, the most minor thing knocks you out of the flow… ADHD paralysis and procrastination sets in again to the point of it feeling like you are drowning in unfinished to-do’s… Just leaving you insanely overwhelmed, frustrated and wondering: Why can’t I just break out of this pattern? Why can’t I just do what I said I would? What is wrong with me? This was my life for years. To the point where I almost lost hope…. I thought I was just doomed to be stuck in this pattern for the rest of life and that I just needed to accept that… But after years of failing with every productivity solution you can think of and digging trough hundreds of research papers, I found a way that allowed me to break out of this pattern consistently… It's a science-backed process that instantly tricks my ADHD Brain into focusing whenever I want to, no matter if I'm interested in the task or not After using it over the last few years, it completely erased procrastination and executive paralysis from my life and allowed me to not only consistently complete tasks, but finally set me free from this consistent frustration and crippling self-doubt… If you want to know exactly how this works: I'm hosting a 100% free online event on February 24th where I’ll reveal exactly how this works and: - Why this works consistently for almost everyone with ADHD - And Why this doesn't require any willpower or discipline. Can you relate? - lesson 43 ADHD Life Lessons I Wish someone told me after getting diagnosed, number 43 of 50. If you have ADHD you will often end up in situations you don’t want to be in, because you didn’t take enough time to make make the right decision. You rush into new relationships. You sign 12-month contracts. You don’t think before you commit and after a few weeks, things begin reveal their true nature and become a burden. On top of that, you often make decisions to please others instead of yourself, leaving you stuck in an unwanted reality. This is when I had to learn about the impulsive side of ADHD; and the power of giving things time. I realized that my brain always wants to commit on new things right away. That novelty is stimulating and gives me dopamine and that I can start making more calculated, long-term decisions by never saying yes right away. I now, as a rule, always sleep on it, knowing anything worthwhile will still be there tomorrow and make the decision far away from anyone else so I don’t fall into the trap of people pleasing and if I can’t decide, the answer is no. Lesson: Give your decisions time Disclaimer: All my content is based on my own experience and/or research/observations from licensed professionals.
