IFTAR BUFFET 😍 from @Karachi Cuisine in South London 🇵🇰 I am usually skeptical of buffets, but I can say this was the first time I’ve actually been impressed with buffet food! 👌🏼 The venue itself is huge and accommodates for large groups. In terms of food, they have a huge selection- some of the best items from their starters were their rashmi chicken seekh kebabs, chana chaat, dahi barey and fried masala fish 🐟 whilst from their mains I loved their biryani, butter chicken, chicken karahi, lamb madras, daal and fresh tandoori naans 🫓 overall everything tasted so good, I ended up staying for a lot longer than planned as I was really enjoying myself 😂 Included in the buffet price are also dates and Rooh Afza to break your fast 🌹 and my fave thing about this place is that there is a mosque right opposite, so no need to worry about where to pray Maghreb! P.S. they also serve infamous Pakistani dishes like Nihari & Haleem, which are included in the buffet 🍖 🍴: Full halal menu but not @Halal Friendly List certified 📍: Norbury 🕌: Nearest place to pray is Norbury Islamic Centre, opposite the venue. SHEERYAKH part 2 😍 AKA Afghan Ice Cream, from @KabulSheeryakh1 in Hendon! 🍨 This one is the OG as it was the first in London, and lots of people commented on part 1 saying this was the best! Their grandad used to sell sheeryakh in Afghanistan too 🇦🇫 We tried both their sheeryakh and jolla- the former is a tower of ice cream topped with a special cream, qaimaq (similar to clotted cream) and crushed almonds 🤤 whilst the latter is the same but it is all on a bed of dessert noodles 🍦 I like how in this branch you can actually watch them making everything. There was lots of seating but it’s a narrow shop and it is very popular so was quite busy 🙌🏻 The flavour of these were exquisite- it wasn’t too sweet so was really refreshing. You can also get these to take-away so it’s a perfect car snack. Both options are delicious but I prefer the Sheeryakh over jolla here 🤤 They also sell a salty street food snack here called shor nakhod which is chickpeas & potato in a salty and tangy sauce- it’s a great contrast getting this with your ice cream! 👌🏼 P.S. they close at 1am so it’s the perfect late night snack ⏰ 🍴: All halal & Muslim owned but not @Halal Friendly List certified 📍: Hendon 🕌: Nearest place to pray Hendon Mosque 💷: £6 for small £8 for large ⭐️: Lots of seating

STEAKOUT IFTAR 😍 from @steakoutuk who have multiple branches- this was their Tooting one! This is a £40 sharing platter for 2 people which includes dates, rice, steak, chicken, chips, salad, pita bread, steak sauce and hummus 👌🏼 Everything was good, especially the steak with the mushroom sauce 🍄 it’s an affordable steak, so don’t expect wagyu quality, but I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of it all 👌🏼 there are also lots of sauces on the table so you can add some spice if you need to 🌶️ These guys have improved a lot from when I visited them a few years back! And I feel like it’s a very good option for affordable steak 🥩 🍴: All of their branches are halal but they are not @Halal Friendly List certified 📍: This was their Tooting branch; other brances are Stratford, Slough, Norbury, Luton, Harrow, Coventry, Cardiff 🕌: Tooting Islamic Centre is across the road from their Tooting branch 💷: £40 for their sharing platter which feeds 2 ⭐️: Clean venue with good service

SHEERYAKH 😍 aka Afghan ice cream! This is part 1 of trying to find the best Sheeryakh- I was recommended to try @𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕖𝕤 𝕘𝕖𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕠 by some Afghans who said it was the best 👌🏼 Sheeryakh is made in a really unique way- a milky/ creamy mixture flavoured with cardamom is put into a metal container, which is then surrounded by ice so that the mixture can freeze into ice cream 🍦 the final ice cream has a beautiful cardamom flavour and a rich creamy taste 🤤 when plating, they top the ice cream with more special cream and a dusting of crushed nuts, they used pistachio here 🥜 There is also a version called jola in which they add frozen dessert noodles, akin to falooda noodles, which I actually prefer to the plain sheeryakh 🙌🏻 Overall I thought the sheeryakh here was amazing, it had a strong cardamom flavour but wasn’t too sweet, and it was very creamy 🍨 The actual venue is quite small and it can get busy, but you can always get this to take away too! 👏🏼 🍴: Muslim owned dessert parlour & everything is halal (but not @Halal Friendly List certified) 📍: Harrow 🕌: Nearest place to pray Harrow Masjid 💷: £5.50 for small sheeryakh, £7 for large ⭐️: Clean tables and seating

SOUP DUMPLINGS 😍 from Duck and Noodle in Bayswater who specialise in authentic halal Chinese food! 🇨🇳 They have just introduced a few new items including their soup dumplings 🥟 BBQ chicken steamed buns 🍗 and their spicy chicken bao buns 🔥 Other fave items include their halal duck, veggie spring rolls, seafood dim sum and their sweet n sour chicken 🤤 P.S. PART 6 of the best BROASTED chicken series 😍 today we are at @😜 Dela3 Kershik😋 in Harrow 🍗 This is a new joint who do a range of grill items, shawarma, manakish, fresh juice and of course BROASTED chicken 🤤 We tried a selection of their food and everything was on point 👌🏼 Their BROASTED chicken came out piping hot, and the meat was flavourful and juicy all the way theough. They actually didn’t use any dried coriander seasoning on top so it was different to all the rest I have tried. Their chips were fat not crispy here 🍟 Some of my other fave items were their shawarma, mint yoghurt dip, cheese rolls and fresh juice 🧃 This is an amazing new opening and I would highly recommend them 🥰 P.S. I have to shout out their service as being the best I have ever recieved from any restaurant- the server was extremely polite, smiley and attentive. IFTAR MENU 😍 from @Haute Dolci Harrow 👌🏼 haven’t really reviewed a dessert parlour before & honestly wasn’t expecting much, but we were pleasantly surprised! Right off the bat, their unit in the shopping centre is massive, with ample seating, including cute booths at one end of their restaurant. Service, atmosphere and cleanliness were top notch🙌🏻 For the £19 Iftar set menu, you get a main (choose between burgers, chicken tenders or sandwiches), fries (regular or peri peri), juice and a petite dessert 🍮 From the mains we tried the cheese-licious cheese burger, which was our favourite. It actually reminded me of Salt in DXB (controversial I know 😂) - it was really tasty 🍔 we also tried the classy chick fried chicken burger, which was also delicious 🍗 finally we tried the ultimate club sandwich- the filling was good but the actual bread was a bit basic (just normal white toast) 🥪 so I would stick to the burgers! The fries were lovely 🍟 & the juices were also great but quite standard- however you get a lot of juice 🧃 Onto the star of the show- the petit desserts. You can choose from a french toast, croffle or a waffle, with 4 flavours to choose from each one 🤤 for the french toast we had the lotus one, which was absolutely amazing- I thought I was sick of lotus but this re-kindled my love 🍞 the croffle was my personal favourite (it’s a croissant waffle) which we got in caramel flavour- it has a unique taste to it and a crunch 🥐 the waffle was also so good, it was made fresh and wasnt chewy at all like i’ve had from other places 🧇 I think for £19 this was an amazing offer, and you can even have it for a post-taraweeh meal too 🙏🏼 P.S. make sure you get some chocolate covered strawberries as they are fantastic 🍓 🍴: Full halal menu (but not @Halal Friendly List certified) 📍: Harrow 🕌: Nearest place to pray Harrow Central Mosque 💷: £19 for the iftar menu. HALAL TIRAMISU 😍 from @tiramisucraftcompany who are an online business that deliver all across London! I’ve been on the hunt for the best halal-friendly tiramisu for agesss (I’ve probably eaten around 20 different ones at this point 😂) and I think I have found my favourite so far 👌🏼 Tiramisu Craft Company was founded by a student who learnt culinary skills from a French Muslim baker whilst working in a Mayfair restaurant 👩🏻‍🍳 the quality of the ingredients, as well as packaging and presentation, was all top tier 🙌🏻 I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I ordered but I was pleasantly surprised! We tried their tiramisu cake which comes with layers of savoiardi biscuit, lotus biscoff and dark chocolate, with a final top later of crumbled Oreo & Biscoff 🍰 it comes beautifully presented in a clear Perspex cake box, so it’s really great for a special occasion 🎁 everyone who tried this thought the cake was an absolute winner! In terms of the Tiramisu jars we tried their classic tiramisu, biscoff with caramel, oreo with white choc, classic with white choc & classic with salted caramel ☕️ my personal favourites were the classic and surprisingly the classic with white chocolate 🍫 these tiramisus had the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness, plus they were nice and thick with no wateryness at all. P.S. the jars come with only the small (minuscola) and medium (regulora) sizes, so stick with those ones if you want the aesthetic jars! 🫙 🍴: All tiramisu’s are halal-friendly as they are alcohol-free (but they are not @Halal Friendly List certified) 📍: Deliveries all over London, including to student accommodations. PART 5 of the best BROASTED chicken series 😍 today we are at @Al Beik restaurant ♥️ in Acton 🍗 I feel like this place isn’t that well known for its BROASTED chicken but it should be- it was super crispy with flavour right to the bone 🤤 We tried their half chicken broasted platter, hummus, shawarma platter, fattoush and ayran- everything was amazing 👌🏼 My favourite item was definitely the broasted chicken here, and I loved their crinkle fries as they were fat and soft 🍟 The prices here were also really good & I believe this was the cheapest from all the broasted places we have been to👏🏼 🍴: Halal & Muslim owned, but not @Halal Friendly List certified 📍: Acton 🕌: Nearest place to pray Acton Masjid 💷: £13.99 for full broasted chicken platter ⭐️: Limited but clean seating #broastedchicken #yum #halalfoodlondon

EID BRUCE CAKE 😍 using £12 cakes from @The Cake Campaign by @Islamic Relief UK 🌙 These cakes are only sold in Ramadan every year, and it was initially set up to aid Syria- now donations are also used for aid in other countries 👌🏼 This year you can also buy brownies from them, and also @Salaam Cola ! 🥤 I initially purchased 4 cakes to make a really tall Bruce/ Matilda cake, but I ended up freezing 2 cakes and saving them for Eid 😅 to make this, you just have to stack them slice by slice on top of each other (the cakes come pre-cut) and use any extra icing from the packaging etc to smooth out the sides 🍰 if I was doing this again I would buy sprinkles or some other decoration for the sides to make it look even better 🍫 I then topped it with an Eid Mubarak cake topper from @Eid Party 🎂 P.S. you can buy these cakes in advance of Eid and freeze them 🥶 💻: Order from cakecampaign.org 🍴: Cakes are halal 📍: Delivers across the UK, until the end of Ramadan only 💷: £12 per cake ⭐️: Proceeds go to charity!

STEAK IFTAR 😍 from the MPW chophouse branch of @Marco Pierre White Restaurants 👌🏼 they are based in Whitechapel, just around the corner from @East London Mosque , however they also have two rooms to pray on site (for sisters & brothers) which were so clean and convenient! 🕌 The Iftar menu costs £42 for a 3 course meal- you get dates, a mocktail, trio of starters, one main course and a dessert 🤤 you can also pay extra for other items, one of which is their bread basket that I would highly recommend 🥖 The trio of starters were really tasty- I liked the red pepper & mozarella dish the most 🌶️ For non-steak mains I would primarily recommend The American Burger- it was an absolutely fantastic juicy & thick patty, cooked to perfection, and I would come back just for this item. It’s definitely now one of my top burgers in London 🍔 my second favourite was the Mushroom Gnocchi 🍄 followed by the sea bream and chicken escalope- they were both good but the burger & gnocchi were a lot better! In terms of steak, I tried one from their Iftar menu and one from their normal menu (as you are not restricted to their iftar menu!). Both were fantastic, and exactly what I expected from a steakhouse such as this 🥩 In terms of sides, the Koffman fries were the best, followed by Koffman chips, buttered new potatoes, and with buttered leaf spinach & buttered garden peas tying for last place 🫛 Dessert wise you can choose from a chocolate brownie, sticky toffee pudding and an Eaton mess. They were all so delicious, and there is something for all tastes. I don’t have a huge sweet tooth so the Eaton mess was perfect for me 🍓 All in all a fantastic Iftar menu with options to suit everybody, and at a reasonable price! PISTACHIO TIRAMISU 😍 and other flavours from @walkmisu , who you’ve probably seen selling Tiramisu out of a phone box ☎️ they are Italian owned so you know it is going to be authentic 🇮🇹 They also have a cafe just around the corner in the CIEE building (anyone can access you just need to ring the buzzer) where there is lots of seating 👌🏼 I love that they had remixes on the normal tiramisu flavour 🤤 I would say their classic was my favourite, followed closely by the pistachio. Other flavours included strawberry chocolate, coconut and banana chocolate, all of which were very delicious 🍫 I thought the banana one would have a synthetic banana flavour, but it was actually so good 🍌 These Tiramisus were honestly divine and I loved the ratio of cream that you get. BAGELS 😍 from @Bagel Factory who have multiple locations across the UK! They have also just been @Halal Friendly List certified & have a huge range of halal options👌🏼 We tried a range of bagels whilst visiting, including their salmon 🐟 chicken pesto 🍃 vegan VLT 🥓 chicken club 🍅 halloumi melt 🧀 and a peanut butter toffee banana dessert bagel 🍌 Every bagel was so delicious, and I especially love the fact that theres so many types of bagel breads to choose from! 🥯 my faves are the poppy seed & the jalapeño cheese flavours 🌶️ 🍴: Bagel Factory are Halal Friendly List certified, with a partial halal menu. BARNABY BARS 😍 this is the viral chocolate bar place in Covent Garden, but is it worth it? Bars start from £3.50 for one- which you may think is expensive, but these bars are supposed to be the equivalent of having a pastry or other dessert. They are filling enough to have one per person, and they also have 0 preservatives so are best eaten fresh, much like pastries! 🍫 I tried 5 of their core flavours; Cinema (toffee & popcorn), tiptap (peanut butter), matchstick (s’mores), noisey (hazelnut & pretzel) and dollar (millionaire shortbread) 🤤 The verdict? I was plesantly surprised by how good these were! There were obviously some flavours I preferred over others, but honestly each one had it’s merits, and it tastes so decadent and rich as you’d expect! NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN 😍 from @Bird and Tie who specialise in fried chicken! Nashville Hot Chicken is a spicy fried chicken that originates from Nashville, Tennessee 🇺🇸 they normally dip the fried chicken in hot oil, before dusting with more spices 🔥 P.S. they currently have 40% off their menu 👀 I love absolutely everything on their menu, but my faves are their hot honey burger 🍯 their dirty bird fries 🍟 french toast n tenders 🍞 the full American brunch spread 🍳 their lollipop wings 🍗 and their Snakebite mocktail to top it all off 🐍 They also have specials including Nashvile Hot Fish 🐟 my fave special has to be their Nash Cream which is Nashville Hot Chicken topped with soft serve and maple syrup 🍦 For dessert you have to have their chocolate stripes funnel cake 🍫 funnel cakes are a fried dough covered in icing sugar and topped with a variety of items- they have an apple pie and strawberry pie version too 🥧 these are a classic in American fairgrounds if you’ve ever been 🎡 In terms of spice level I normally get Nashville Hot, but you can try their Poultrygeist (extreme spice) if you think you can handle it 👻 🍴: They are @Halal Friendly List certified with a full halal menu- for full details check out www.halalfriendlylist.com/birdandtie 📍: Clapham Common 🕌: Nearest place to pray is Balham Mosque 💷: They currently have 40% off their entire menu! HONEY SOY 😍 the new range of wings & tenders at @Chicken Shop is amazing!
