Sometimes you have to wait on nature. This species of nudibranch is easy to spot on docks, especially in summer when there is plentiful plankton in the water for them to feed on. The low tides near Port Angeles are earlier in the day than the Gig Harbor area so often that means driving 2 hours in the dark to get there before the tide is fully out. Meet the frosted Nudibranch, Dirona albolineata. These gorgeous nudibranchs, aka sea slugs are a favorite find in the Salish Sea.
