Does anyone else feel like this? I feel SO grateful to be here and know how lucky I am to be aging. It’s just every now and then it hits me that i’m 50, menopausal and on the other side of life now. I recently learned that grieving our youth is a real thing and it’s a normal part of the aging process. Mourning the loss of our younger selves helps us to let go and embrace the next chapter. I’m not there yet but i’m trying. When I look in the mirror and see my aging face and body, I remind myself of what’s really important and that’s how I feel on the inside, in my heart and soul. That’s the part that never ages and remains forever young. #aging #genx #missyou #gettingolder #life #midlife
That day changed my life forever. 24 years ago, a stranger approached me in the food court at work and handed me a note. It said “would you like to grab a coffee with me sometime? with an email address. This stranger was a friend of the man who would one day become my husband. I emailed him and we went on that coffee date. 5 years later we got married. Today we celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. #lovestory #anniversary
