Re: “Good morning who?” This will be the last I bring attention to this particular subject. I remember when my mom used to do this to me, “force” me to address her and my aunts/uncles, instead of just simply saying hi/good morning. I remember being young and inconsiderate. Young and self serving. Young and unable to understand what my mom sacrificed for me. Obviously I’m speaking only to healthy familial relationships, but I now understand WHY my mom asked something so small of me. And I regret acting the way I did as a kid. So entitled. So spoiled. Now as a mom, karma is biting me in the butt and my mom is 100% entitled to say the biggest “I told you so” LOL! 2. “Mom vs Mommy” When you become a mom/parent/guardian, only then will you understand the looming thought of your kid growing up. On one hand, this age is annoying af. On the other hand, you want to slow time as much as possible cuz you realize they only have possibly less than 10 more years to be with you. My kid is 9. If university is at 18…that means she’s already lived 1/2 her years with me already. We only have her for 9 more years under our roof. 😫😫 literally tearing up as I type this. So. 🌴🌴Vacay mode activated🌴🌴 When I was a kid, my parents could rarely afford to bring my brother and I on vacation. Our typical vacations were usually road trips to a city a few hours away, for a weekend, and always to visit family (so we had free accommodations LOL). Thankfully, Ben and I are blessed to be able to take our kids on a vacation every year. It is always so much fun watching them enjoy every moment and experiencing new things, creating amazing memories! Staying in hotels is always a highlight of the kids trips LOL But on the flip side, it can be stressful, exhausting and expensive. Not to mention a week's worth of work when you get home to your computer! As much as large, weeklong vacations can be amazing and restful, sometimes those short weekend road trip getaways are much more appealing... and doable.
