⭐️Make sure to save for later!⭐️ The other month, my video about fixing face floppers was really well-received. But the only problem was that I was showing you how to do it on a heat friendly synthetic wig! I got a ton of requests to show how to fix face floppers on a plain synthetic piece. So, here you go!! Really, it’s the same thing! The only thing that’s changing is the type of heat we use. You can use a steamer like I did here (any clothing or wig steamer will work just fine), use the Envy 3 in 1 air styler with the round volume brush attachment, or use another heat tool set extremely low. If you are using a heat tool other than a steamer, I recommend to spray with water first so it’s still wet heat, which helps to protect the fibers. Just remember that the fibers need to cool and set in position for about 5 minutes before you take out the clips. You can keep them clipped overnight for even better results! I hope this helps! Face floppers!!😡😩Save for reference later! If you wear wigs, I think you know what I mean when I say we have a “full fledged face flopper” on our hands! Synthetic wigs will often do this, especially when they are right out of the box. Hopefully this video helps you deal with those face floppers a little more effectively! Here are just a few things to remember: 1) if your fiber is heat friendly, don’t go over 350 farenheit. I usually stay around 275. 2) if your fiber is regular synthetic, only use low heat from something like a blow dryer or you can use a steamer. (Wet heat is ok) 3) be careful with the lace. Don’t put too much heat on your lace and don’t pull so hard that the lace lifts and stretches back. 4) make sure the heat is always moving. Don’t hold it in one spot for too long. Something about the imperfect, frizzy, fluffy, just-left-the-beach kind of a look makes me so happy! Plus, it reminds me of what it was like when I had my own hair. This is the beautiful Angie by Jon Renau in the color 12FS12 Malibu Blonde. You will find that most of Jon Renau’s human hair wigs and toppers will dry this way as they have a soft perm. Angie has a hand tied cap, full monofilament top, and temple to temple lace front. It is a medium density and fits pretty true to average. What do you think of the beautiful Angie? Despite getting negative comments on occassion about having a bald head, I have learned, on my own, that hair does not dictate who we are. Femininity has nothing to do with hair and everything to do with the way you carry yourself, your confidence, your kindness, and the strength you embody. Hair is just a bonus. Just something extra to look at and something we can have fun with. An accessory, if you will.🙂 Although it seems to be more socially accepted for men to have no hair, women can and should be able to freely rock their bald head without judgement and assumptions. Hair (or lack thereof) should not only be linked to gender or illness. It’s a form of self expression and has nothing to do with who you are at your core. Hair or not, you are still you. Can’t get enough of this one!😍 After I filmed this, I ran into Sephora to grab something and one of their employees complimented me saying I had the most beautiful hair! I think this style is number one in the most complimented for me! But let me tell you…. Not once has anyone known that this was a wig. They are always blown away when/if I tell them. BUT, if you are concerned about someone knowing or if you are wanting to try a new style or color and want to ease yourself into it all, then make sure you go somewhere that you don’t know anyone. Find a spot on the other side of town where it will be full of random people. They have no idea what you are supposed to look like and it is a great way to build confidence in wearing hair.
