These cats are a good example of when it's time to say no and send home. They did not need grooming. While I made light of the situation by calling them 'mean' or 'angry,' they are obviously very stressed out, and continuing with the service would be harmful to them. The owners were very understanding of some mistakes that had been made, such as dressing them in shirts and putting them in one carrier, but they were also very kind people who really really loved their cats, and learned from those mistakes. I managed to brush them and clip their nails at pick-up, after their clothing was removed and they were given time to decompress in my backyard.
