Exactly five years ago, I had to come home and tell my husband that I was gay. It was heart breaking and humiliating for both of us. I never thought I would get through the pain that I carried for the next few years. The first year specifically was the loneliest of my life. It’s still lonely sometimes, and I still hope for change moving forward. But the realization of five years hit me hard today. And though my life has changed 100% for the better, it’s still hard sometimes. I’d do it all again though, and I’m not sorry for the courage it took to change my life. I hope you have the courage to change yours when needed ♥️
