Having a healthy amount of balance in your household when you have multiple kids is so important, and one thing we always said we wouldn’t do is make our girls feel like they have to do everything for the others. When it comes to Jayde. ✨ We absolutely do not allow her sisters in her bedroom without her being present or okay with it ✨ We may ask her to do things but try to avoid asking repeatedly ✨ We teach the babies how to clean up their own mess and play area so she doesn’t feel like it’s always on her. Everyone has their own space and are responsible for it. ✨ We show up to every single thing she has going on, with the whole family, sometimes overwhelming but it’s important our presence is felt so she knows she’s important like everyone else ✨she doesn’t change any diapers unless she offers. At the end of the day, she’s a child too. It’s important for her to have a real childhood. There will be no “babysitting my siblings” for us. Even as she gets older, we want her to know she’s a growing beautiful young lady and deserve to live as such without early responsibilities.
