ORANGE CHICKEN 🐼 express style CHICKEN: * 2 lb boneless skinless chicken breast * 3 cups flour * 1 cup cornstarch * Spice mix * 1.5 cups gingerale * Oil for frying ORANGE SAUCE * 1 tablespoon oil * ¼ teaspoon chili flake * 1 tablespoon garlic, minced * ½ teaspoon ginger, minced * ¼ cup sugar (50 g) * ¼ cup brown sugar (55 g) * ¼ cup orange juice (60 mL) * ¼ cup white distilled vinegar (60 mL) * 2 tablespoons soy sauce * 2 tablespoons water * 2 tablespoons cornstarch * 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1. Cut chicken into thin strips, mix four, cornstarch, spices & ginger ale 2. Add chicken making sure it’s fully coated then pan fry the Chicken 3. Mix together the sauce ingredients 4. Add to pan and simmer until thickened, add cooked chicken Dish goes well on rice, with a side of sautéed spinach & brocolli
The Canadian in me is coming out with this CREAM OF MUSHROOM POUTINE 🇨🇦 Bake potato (any desired shape) in oven until crispy Chicken Gravy: -Sautée onions & mushroom then remove -in same pan brown chicken then remove -in same pan make a roux (butter & flour) then add cream of mushroom soup with water -add desired spices, cream cheese, dill -add back in sautéed onion, mushroom & browned chicken -let simmer until chicken is fully cooked Build poutine with a base of potato, cheese then top with gravy
BUTTER CHICKENN 🤤 1kg cubed Chicken breast boneless 2 tbsp Ginger 2 tbsp garlic paste 1 tbsp red curry paste 2 tbsp Red chilli powder Oil to pan fry 1 can while peeled tomatoes 1 cup roughly cut onions 1 cup chicken stock 1 tbsp garlic paste 1 cup cashew 1 tsp garam masala 4 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp chilli powder 5 tbsp butter 3 tbsp coconut Salt to taste 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 cup plain yogurt 1/2 cup warm water 1 tbsp yeast 1/ tbsp sugar 2 tbsp butter 1 tbsp garlic 1/2 tbsp chopped coriander Method -prep Naan: mix warm water, sugar & yeast, set aside for 10 minutes. Add in flour & salt & knead until soft and well incorporated. Let rise for 2 hours. - Marinate the chicken with ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, red curry paste and keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes - In a pan heat, some oil then lightly fry the marinated chicken pieces in it, once done place it into a bowl. - In the same pan add onion, a spoonful of butter and once the onions are cooked add tomatoes and cashew nuts - Add some chicken stock and garlic paste, sugar, garam masala powder, and chili powder. Evenly mix it and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes - Churn the mixture into a fine puree. - Strain it back into the same pan make sure there is minimal wastage. - Add butter, cream, chicken and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. -Pan fry naan and top with butter mixture - Garnish it with cream and coriander Butter Chicken is ready to be served!
IRAQI FESENJOUN 🇮🇶 This Middle Eastern dish inspired by Persian cuisine is one of my favourites! The flavour is unlike no other, it is sweet from the pomegranate molasses, nutty from the walnuts & tangy from the turmeric chicken. Served on a bed of basmati rice, this dish is always a household favourite.
