1. try as many techniques as you can to find out what you really like( I painted with pencils and acrylics for years before I started with oil, not knowing it would be my fav) 2. You don’t need to have a vision or unique style in your first paintings. That comes naturally don’t force it. 3. Be open to try new things, switch styles and don’t be afraid of not being „authentic „ by trying it 4. The quality of your material DOES matter. No matter how skilled you are, there is a notable differences between paints, brushes, pencils and canvases. To me especially the quality of brushes are important. If you have tk blend smooth edges, it’s important to use a soft thick brush. 5. Don’t let commission works ruin your passion or style! 6. Paint on vancases that are twice in depth (looks better and Mir which quality unframed and you can draw on the sides) 7. Use epoxy resin only for acrylics and oil resin only for oil 8. The best ideas and inspiration comes by talking to people you love 9. If you feel the flow stage try to paint as much as possible (there will be times where you’re lacking inspiration and drive for weeks) 10. Take pictures from the painting on you I pad during the process and paint over it if you’re not sure how to continue (rescues you from fucking it up) #trend#trending#viral#fyp#fy
