Some may think "it's not that deep", but it is! Refusing to see someone as they are, to not call them by their name or use their correct pronouns, is absolutely disrespectful. It says that it's more important to you to cling on to your past perceived version of that person than is it to know who they actually are. In all seriousness, we have always had open communication about potential employment options, and are on the same page about what is right for myself as well as what is right for us as a family unit. We both know that it's simply not possible for me to go out and work in a typical fashion, and we do the best we can with that. There's no secret resentment or negativity around it. Sure, sometimes I make myself feel guilty, and I ofcourse wish I could work in a field related to my special interests, but I still find fulfillment in hobbies and helping in other ways :). Replying to @nataliethompson1992 Summary: I have hEDS, which causes a lot of pain in my limbs and back as my joints shift out of place, and PoTS, which is a form of dysautonomia that causes my heart rate to spike with posture change or movement, making me dizzy, fatigued, and feel generally ill. I have the ability to do things in short bursts, otherwise I use a mobility aid to help me get by! Sometimes I don't use one at all. I most often use my rollator, and if I'm on a trip with lots of walking or if my back or legs are injured, I use my wheelchair :) #chronicillness #disability #mobilityaids #heds #pots

Some people will think you're annoying or abrasive, disturbed or misguided. If you spend all your time trying to manage those people, hoping to gain their favour, what are you sacrificing for it? Forgot I had this video going 😅 I started out on 6 months of what would be considered a low dose of testosterone as I wanted to ease into things. While some people experience a more significant voice drop in less time, mine has been very gradual. I still have times where I think my voice hasn't changed much, but when I see old videos like this, or feel the bass in my chest as I speak I get waves of joy :). Speaking of chests, mine has healed well! I'm almost back to my pre surgery mobility and feeling so good about my results.
