A PSA to all my modest girls. Modest is as modest does. - - I am someone who practices modesty as my husband and I feel is pleasing to the Lord and aligns with the Bible. As someone who came from being raised Mennonite and then being part of a Pentecostal Cult as an adult... I am relearning what true modesty is and it's not laced with judgement, condemnation and man made shame. Modesty is the posture of the heart which is reflected in the vessel's speech, dress, actions & spirit. - - You can 100% set an example. You can 100% say "The Bible says X, and I'm curious to know your thoughts" But nothing good comes out of trying to embarrass, belittle shame and harass someone - it just shows the ugliness of your heart. - - God does not need you to be someone's judge and jury about their relationship with him. In the Bible God redeemed not only those who were immodest, but those who were harlots, adulterers, murderers... the list goes on and on. If we are being honest about who God is - he does not have hierarchies with sin. They are all equally displeasing. With that being said, lets choose compassion. -- Let your words and deeds be laced with it and I promise you, fruit will follow. 🤍 Xx Hannahlee
