Childhood pets change your life in the best ways 😭 A few months ago, I said yes to her adopting a cat that would be hers. It was the best decision I've made. Their relationship is so beautiful to watch. 💕
We've been waiting for her to ask to get her ears pierced for so long 😳. She's been asking for it, saying she wanted to do it at American Girl with her doll (she saw another girl doing it once and wanted to as well), so we took her there. Everything was fine until the first ear was done, she couldn't handle the pain anymore, so we decided to just leave it like that.
I created this easy and fun solution to teach my daughter how to take a deep breath! And I decided to share it here because it worked amazingly with her, who understands more when visualizing things. #calmdown #deepbreaths #momhacks #tantrum #meltdown
No way this worked 🤯😍 I never have the patience or time to style my hair properly; all that sectioning here and there just makes me too lazy. That’s how I started doing it this way, and to my surprise, it worked! 💕
I really enjoyed creating this outdoor art station for painting with my daughter; it's such a cool activity that we both loved. 💕 #kidsactivities #artforkids #outdoorpainting
Whenever I see a cold or flu coming our way, I make these gummies for my family. They're like my secret weapon! Not only do they help us bounce back quicker, but sometimes they even stop the bug in its tracks. And my daughter is absolutely obsessed! They're not just healthy gummies, they're also packed with all the good stuff – vitamins, antioxidants and boost our immune system! Here is the recipe (don’t forget to save it for later 💕) Ingredients: - 1 cup dried elderberries - 1 lemon, sliced - 2 cinnamon sticks - 4 cups water - 1 cup honey (or more to taste) For the Gummies: - 1 pack of unflavored gelatin Instructions: In a pan, combine the dried elderberries, lemon slices, cinnamon sticks, and water. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, pressing down on the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Stir in the honey until dissolved. Adjust the amount of honey to taste, depending on your sweetness preference. Meanwhile, in a bowl add 1/2 cup of cold water and gradually sprinkle the unflavored gelatin powder over it, letting it pre-hydrate. Add the hot syrup (If necessary, heat it up again) to the bowl with gelatin, stirring constantly to prevent clumps. Continue stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Carefully pour the mixture into silicone gummy molds. Place the molds in the refrigerator and let the gummies set for at least 30 minutes (depending on the size of the mold), or until firm. Once set, remove the gummies from the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. #elderberrygummies #elderberry #elderberrysyrup #coldandfluseason
Ever since we got Skye, they love doing everything together—playing, sleeping, etc. When I would serve Natalie's dinner, the kitten liked to sit next to her as if to say, "What about me?" So, I started serving little plates for the cat too, and now both of them love having their meals together (ps: the kitten eats cat food, too; these are just "treats").
If you have a hard time removing tough stains caused by messy eaters..I've discovered a DIY stain remover solution that's not only effective but also easy to make with just three common household items: dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Here's how to make it: mix one part of hydrogen peroxide with half a part of both baking soda and dish soap. After combining the ingredients, pour the mixture into a spray bottle and apply it to the stained area. Gently scrub the area with a paper towel or a soft brush and then wash it as you usually would. That's it! The stain should be gone. If you want to extend the shelf life of the hydrogen peroxide, store it in a cool, dark place. Additionally, you can transfer some of the solution into a small bottle and take it with you wherever you go. #momhack #parenthack #stainremover #DIY #diystainremover #beststainremover
We're taking a few days to visit Punta Mita in Mexico, and I’ve gotten questions about her missing school. Her teachers are amazing and do an excellent job but I believe that traveling can teach us so much about the world and can help us develop empathy, cultural awareness, and a lot of new experiences, especially for children.
