HOW I ROLL A CEILING USING DULUX TRADE ULTRA MATT When choosing a paint for your ceiling you’d usually have to consider how the lighting coming into the rooms shows up imperfections on your ceiling or if there’s flash from rolling. PANELLING DONE! @Dulux UK Heritage for the win 🏆 So the colours I’ve used in this room are Piano White Velvet Matt on the top and I’ve used Pale Walnut Velvet Matt on the bottom half 😍 If you ain’t tried the Dulux Trade Heritage range yet, I definitely would urge you to give it a shot. FLAKY BATHROOM IS COMPLETE… Actually this one did test me abit! When doing jobs like this in a small area your biggest challenge is working with the drying times, thankfully I had another room to get on with while I was doing this, but the amount of work for such a small space is unreal but it looks good in the end. WREN KITCHENS 🤯 So the kitchen was 18 months old and started to fall apart, I went to wren and spoke to them and they told me I had a long warranty, so I sent all the pictures of all 6 doors that have peeled away all 3 draws 4 end panels and they come back and told me it was all void! Reason being The sink ruined the door under the sink The cooker was too hot for doors either side Dishwasher ruined the dishwasher door No extractor fan ruined cupboard doors high level. They had no excuse for the end panels Long story short I think they sold me a kitchen not fit for purpose but somehow it’s my fault! Then just because it was my biggest investment when I moved into my house I tried to buy all new doors to replace all the ones that have failed.. ANYWAY they said sorry we don’t sell doors you have to buy the carcasses with them 😂 they want me to buy a entire new kitchen 🤦🏽‍♂️ so I’m gonna do some sample on the end planels and hand paint it all.. first up black gloss 😮‍💨 feel free to chuck some colour ideas my way I’m gonna do too half one colour bottom another.. #fyp #foryoupage #paintwarrior #painting #tips #viral #asm

ROLL ON FILLER.. Lots of messages about this one, basically in a nutshell. This is the quickest and easiest way to level out and loose imperfections on your surfaces, applying it with the special roller it’ll apply the filler more evenly so you can use a skimming blade to level it off, whip over it with your sander and you’ve basically got a brand new surface to work with, this filler is called SMIG it was gifted to me a while ago so thought I’d try it out now as I’ve done the others. WELL THAT TURNED OUT BETTER THAN I THOUGHT 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 SEE THE END RESULT I’m really happy with that ☺️ We went from a all Matt black WC to a high gloss black ceiling and a neutral colour called pale walnut in a velvet Matt finish on the walls, the ceiling was definitely one of my biggest challenges as it had to be absolutely perfect with all the preparation to even justify putting a gloss on, but the patience paid off, it’s literally like having a black mirror on the ceiling and it feels so high now I absolutely love it. #fyp #foryoupage #paintwarrior #painting #tips

WHAT A COLOUR AND THE COVERAGE IS 😮‍💨🔥 We’re currently using the Benjamin Moore Aura and I have to say it’s rather impressive, the application is so good it’s a pleasure to use, the coverage is second to none absolutely 10/10 for coverage 🔥 this product can also be used for colour drenching meaning it’s good for walls ceiling and woodwork, which is what we was going to do in this room but the client likes the colour against the white so now it’s only walls! PAINTING NEW PLASTER.. its task a lot of people get confused over. So your first steps should be to check the instructions on your finish colour paint as it’ll say if it’s suitable for painting new plaster, if so it’ll give guidelines on how much water to paint ratio you need to mix. If not then what we use is a contract matt emulsion it’s usually a lot cheper than your top coat paint and the mix is 40% water the rest paint. Or you can but a specific paint primer for new plaster. IT’S AMAZING WHAT A BIT OF PAINT CAN DO.. transformation or what! Prep work involved was a good old degrease and clean down, fine sanding pads on the entire areas, then a final wash down before applying the Zinsser ALLCOAT. BLACK GLOSS CEILING.. First coated but will need a second coat in the morning, but I wanted to share the progress so far. Walls are going a pale neutral colour and should be close to finished tomorrow, so I’ll get some pics on my story. Sanded, cleaned, skimmed, sanded, cleaned, primed, sanded, cleaned, primed, sanded, cleaned, first top coat it’s a lot I know but you can’t be messing around with a gloss finish unless your willing to go through the process, First sand was 120 grit after I skimmed I used a 320 then primed used a 400 primed a 600 and I’ll use a 600 again tomorrow before final toppers #fyp #foryoupage #paintwarrior #painting #tips #viral

SHEETING UP THE STAIRS USING STAIR RODS Dust sheets on stairs can be very temperamental, they can slide slip and cause you to trip, but using these stair rods makes it a hell of lot more safer! It keeps your area clean and tidy no need to worry about your clients catching there foot on your sheets also which is a huge bonus.
