Copy of the tweet below #algs #apexlegends #gaming COMP (4 years): - Never placed 1st at an S/A/B-tier event (except one qualifier) - Qualified for only 1 LAN - Never made Grand Finals at LAN - At times had A-tier teammates and org support, yet never even placed top 10 in NA Pro League - Claimed to have spent "10-12 hours every day looking at maps" (something the best players in the world don't do) CONCLUSION: Maybe you weren't cut out for this. Either A. You aren't talented enough, B. You're incredibly unlucky, or C. You actually aren't working as hard as you claim you are. Every other ALGS pro I'm aware of has had more success than you competitively OR has pivoted to content OR has quit Apex, often years ago. ---------- CONTENT (4 years of streaming): - Averages single-digits to a couple dozen viewers, at most just breaking 100 - TikTok: Hasn't posted in nearly 2 years (one of the only good places to grow a stream from) - YouTube: 3 uploads in 3 years CONCLUSION: The proof is in the pudding here, you clearly aren't working super hard to make content, something every pro should do (to make money and build a brand that orgs want to sign). There's virtually no effort put in here except to hit the Go Live button when scrims/tourneys are on. ---------- LIFE: - Quit your job before you had solid savings - Didn't get another job when the org payments weren't keeping up with your lease (or when savings ran out) - ??? (lots of missing pieces here) CONCLUSION: Made some fairly poor life calculations over the last 4 years, MAYBE has gotten really unlucky, but that's no excuse for all of the above. I'll be honest, I just see someone who tunnel-visioned on their dreams, and not just for a moment, but for years. I think people should follow their dreams, but paying the bills/eating/staying alive comes first. When you've failed to prepare for small financial emergencies or losing a job, that's nobody's fault but your own. In my experience, those who create gofundme's never do so just once, it's a recurring problem, and one I won't support. Give me a good reason to believe that you aren't just going to do this all over again @ClaneSZN and I'd consider supporting. Right now I have my doubts.
