What better way to honor her and the person she was, than by having her favorite people here enjoying cake and remebering all the things we love about her. Watching her favorite little people run and laugh and play, her little brother and cousins. Emmri never dwelled on what she didn’t have. She always found the joy in things. She was always laughing and smiling and just loved life. Being the one who has to write the obituary. The speech. Plan the funeral, pick the pictures and songs. Make the decorations. This day is such a blur to me but I remember so vividly feeling like this can’t actually be real. It has to be a dream. So thankful for our family and friends who helped hold me together on the hardest day of my life thus far.

Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary since her passing. Days like these clips when all the kids are here laughing and smiling is when I feel her the most. She loved her little brother and cousins more than anything in this world, she was the proudest big sister and big cousin and beemed with joy watching them. Even at times when it seems like weve moved on from her passing, we havent. We never will.
