Back to school be like: So I don't agree with "communal supplies" Last year I found out they were doing "communal supplies" for class. Which honestly I don't mind my child sharing supplies with others because we bought more than enough. The problem was when we tried to buy my daughter the best supplies, like durable folders because I know how kids are so I wanted them to last. The second day of school she came home with a paper folder, which lasted max a week before it ripped. I was not happy because I don't think it's okay for us to work hard to try to buy her a 5 dollar folder that is durable and she gets a 40 cent folder that won't survive a drop of water instead. So this year I don't mind her sharing pencils/colors but I expect her to at least get to use her better quality note books, folders and extra items we get for her.
