These #Swicy ™ mashed potatoes are a must-try for your next date night 🤗 #SwicyMarryMeMeal Recipe: Bret & Mir’s Lay’s Sweet & Spicy Honey Mashed Potatoes Ingredients: 1 bag of Lay's Sweet and Spicy Honey Flavored chips (7 3/4oz, 219 g bag) 1 ½ cup Water ½ cup heavy whipping cream 2 tbsp butter ¼ cup chopped green onions Salt and pepper to taste Instructions: Boil the Water: Start by boiling 1 and a half cups of water in a saucepan. Add the Chips: Once the water is boiling, add 1 bag of Lay's Sweet and Spicy Honey flavored chips into the saucepan. Stir to make sure the chips are fully submerged and start to soften. Mix in Heavy Whipping Cream and Butter: Lower the heat to medium and pour in a half cup of heavy whipping cream into the saucepan, stir the mixture well to combine the cream with the softened chips. Simmer: Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will help the flavors melt together and the mixture to thicken slightly. Remove from heat. Use a potato masher to break down the mixture more for a smoother mash, then add green onions and butter. Fold until fluffy and smooth. Season: Add salt and pepper according to your taste. Remember, the chips are already seasoned, so you might want to go light on the salt initially. Taste and adjust as needed. Serve: Once the mixture has reached your desired consistency and flavor, transfer to a serving bowl and serve immediately while it’s still warm.
