How to visit Mt Fuji as a day trip from Tokyo: 8am: Take a 2hr bus from Tokyo station US$13 10am: Arrive at Kawaguchiko Station (final stop). Exit the station and turn left, walk 100m to find this Lawson Convenience store and buy some snacks 10.30am: Take the train to Shimoyoshida Station and search FabCafe Fuji for this exact location on Shimoyoshida Honcho St. It's an 8min walk from the station. Make sure your camera has a zoom lens of at least 70mm for Mt Fuji to look huge or use your iPhone at 3x zoom 11.30am Chureito Pagoda. It's a 25min walk and you'll have to walk up 398 steps to reach the pagoda 12.30pm Walk back to Shimoyoshida Station and take the train back to Kawaguchiko Station 1pm Rent bicycles and ride down to Lake Kawaguchi, stop at Ubuyagasaki and Oishi Park 4pm Bike ride back to Kawaguchiko Station 5pm Return to Tokyo via bus #tokyo #mtfuji #kawaguchiko #japan
