Back in 2010 I starred as myself in the @mtv series “$5 Cover’ which was created by @mybrewtube and featured a bunch of us #Memphis musicians. Within the show were music videos that were filmed as live performances. MTV would air them during regular music video blocks, and I remember waking up in the middle of the night when my music video for “The Icky Muck” played right after @eminem “Lose Yourself” because 8 Mile was popular at the time. Never did I think I would see one of my songs above his name on a chart, and furthermore in a country I’ve never been to. I haven’t had any mainstream publicity since that show. This is wild y’all. My head has been spinning for the last three days. I can’t thank y’all enough for helping this little ole fella who has no label, agent, manager, or publicist climb all the way up these charts.
