Mom guilt is real in these streets🥺😩 I remember the first time I went on my first trip with my husband without our children to Vegas which is only 4 hours away from us. We drove and only got 30 mins of driving in and I just started balling😭😭. I’ve always heard about mom guilt but it was that moment I knew what it felt like. I couldn’t control my emotions at all. My husband had to calm me down by talking to me and praying with me. I didn’t know I was that connected to my children. They had what they needed, I made sure they had their favorite snacks, we came up with an itinerary, bought games and set up movie time. But the thought of them doing all that with the babysitter and not me crushed me. I felt like things wasn’t going to go right. I realized that it wasn’t healthy for me to be that way. I needed to detach myself from my children so I can love myself properly. That is when I discovered selfcare. So this time around it didn’t hurt as bad as the first time. Meet The Storm Family ⚡️ We are a family of 14 who absolutely loves Jesus and needs him everyday. Our mission is to bring love and light to the world one dance at a time. We have 7 boys and 5 girls whom we adore so much. Brooklyn NY natives now residing in California. Storm and I have been married for 16 yrs next month will make 17yrs married. We’ve been together for 18yrs and our love continues to grow deep. Many always ask if we planned on having 12 children and the answer is no. If I can be transparent we failed to plan our life together when we got together. We were two young adults wanting a better life but didn’t know how to go about it. We were barely surviving in the beginning of our marriage having no marriage counseling or any wise counsel. It was extremely rough but I had just a little hope in our marriage. I then gave my life to Jesus and my husband did a week after and it has been a ride ever since. We have definitely weathered many storms 😜 and the word of God kept us and restored our marriage. My husband is a respected battle dancer and his dance name was Quiet Storm later changed to Storm. That is where “The Storm Family” comes from. Our children grew up around dance battles,performances, and their parents teaching dance classes. So it’s safe to say it could be why each of our children are able to pick up choreography so well.
