Who knew we'd uncover this gorgeous brickwork and interesting structure behind all this plaster, which is over 130 years old! The two flues from the downstairs fireplaces meet at the top of the house, with the fireplace for this room joining them in the centre. It's created an amazing curved shape with two triangular nooks either side, and now we have to decide our next move... Do we keep it all exposed, which requires a LOT of work and money, or keep the shape but plasterboard/plaster over what's here? Budget and time will be the decider, as well as if this is even structurally sound!
