Full letter available to read at HHS.gov. *correction* In the video, I said “written consent must be obtained” however, after re-reading the HHS document, it appears as though it could be appropriate to obtain verbal informed consent IF documented thoroughly. This consent must include the “right to refuse consent for sensitive examinations conducted for teaching purposes and the right to refuse to consent to any previously unagreed examinations to treatment while under anesthesia.” In medicine, there are a lot of things that are done because: “that’s the way things have always been done.” Clearly there are many practices that should be re-evaluated, and this is definitely one of them!! #obgyn #medicalschool #physician #nurse #physicianassistant #nursepractitioner#greenscreen

Japan’s bullet train HAS derailed 3 times, twice during earthquakes and once during a blizzard, but there were no fatalities and the most recent derailment somehow led to zero injuries 👏 This is especially impressive knowing HOW FAST they operate (up to 200mph) 🤯 Trigger warning ⚠️ There has been one f@tality when a student got his finger caught in the door of a bullet train from the outside, was dragged ~100 yards, then fell to his d€ath.
