The first day here in Iceland was already so beautiful ☺️ My idea of coming back here in the summer is that I want to change my sleep rhythm so that I always sleep during the day and film at night, with the midnight sun ☀️ At the moment the sun is still sets and we had this beautiful sunset. In the next few weeks we will hopefully have a bit of sun all night long 😊 🥾 @Isleifur Eli #iceland #cliffs #fpv #drone
Into the river 🚁💦 Spent a long time designing a drone capable of this fall and subsequent dive. Should I do more of those? 🌊 #iceland #drone #fpv #nature #travel #island #waterfall #technology #dive
That was a bad place to crash my drone 🫣 it landed right on the edge next to the hole in the glacier ice 🧊We couldn’t see the end of it and it went somewhere into the water of the glacier lagoon. Luckily I got it back with only a few scratches ☺️ What’s your wildest drone rescue? #iceland #drone #fpv #nature #travel #island #closecall #hammocklanding
This waterfall is so popular that it is usually not possible to fly a drone because of all the people. But we were here at night before sunrise and had it all to ourselves 😊 I think it looks even better with the wind when half the waterfall flies upwards. @Isleifur Eli #iceland #fpv #drone #seljalandsfoss #waterfall
Flying the drone slowly is actually much harder than flying it fast 😊 but it is definitely fun to be so close to the water. #iceland #river #calm #nature
The wave at the end almost brought me down 🫣 I think I’ve never captured the ocean’s power quite like this before 🌊 #iceland #drone #fpv #nature #travel #island #wavepower #closecall
My absolute favorite waterfall in Iceland 🥹 Find this and more hidden gems on my Iceland travel map 🗺️ Use the code ISLAND50 🙌 (link in bio) I designed the map to be helpful for everyone ☺️ Whether you love hiking, experiencing beautiful nature spots, or you’re a filmmaker/creator looking for the perfect drone shot, this map has you covered. It includes detailed info on roads, hiking distances, and drone regulations 📝 This waterfall, for example, is in a nature reserve and requires a special permit to fly a drone, which I got for this shot. All this info is included in the map 🗺️
Ever since I spotted this sheep barn last year, I’ve wanted to fly my drone through it 🏡 But on that day, the wind was just too strong . Now, a year later, I’ve been waiting all day for the wind to calm down. Finally, the sun broke through for about 10 minutes, and it was even more beautiful than I imagined ☀️ Normally, I can handle flying in pretty strong winds, but the gaps in this sheep barn create turbulence, making it tough even with a little breeze 💨 Was it worth it? #iceland #fpv #drone #nature #calm #cabin
That was so scary 🫣 I saw this waterfall falling through the hole in the rock last year but I didn't dare to fly it 😅 When we drove past it again, I just had to try it. Was it worth it?
These icebergs have broken off from the glacier and are floating in the saltwater lagoon, where they are slowly melting 🧊 This beautiful sunrise accelerates the melting process, and I can see many of these structures collapsing. Although glacier melting is a natural process, it has been significantly accelerated by rising global temperatures 🥲 A special permission for drone flying is obtained from The Environment Agency of Iceland #iceland #fpv #drone #glaciers
Katla has fallen 🥹 Many of you may have seen this famous ice cave in Iceland in recent years 📷 It formed as a melt tunnel from a volcanic eruption within the glacier 🌋 It became accessible only as the glacier retreated. But climate change is relentless. The first video was taken in February this year. Only a few months later it broke down 🥲 This is the fate awaiting every glacier in Iceland. One day, Iceland might be completely ice-free! Everything we do now to combat climate change helps protect these glaciers 🌍 What do you think about it?
This is a secret waterfall that is very hard to reach 😅 We got our car stuck several times because we took the wrong road and ended up in front of a huge river that was impossible to cross 🌊 Eventually, we found the right path and drove 13 km along the river. After a night in the lonely valley, we hiked to this ledge and had one of the most beautiful and unknown waterfalls in Iceland all to ourselves ☺️ #iceland #fpv #drone #nature #calm #waterfall
I got up in the middle of the night, but then it was cloudy all morning. Suddenly the sun came out and it looked like this ☺️ #italy #dolomites #fpv #drone #calm #nature #sunrise
