A few months after @Tim Tebow and I were married, we were asked to do a joint Q&A onstage. Tim and I were going to be asked a few questions, but my plan was to have Tim answer as many as possible, until the interviewer asked me to talk about “true beauty”… I had squeezed Tim’s hand hoping he could answer the question for me, but he couldn’t because that was my battle to fight. The moment I started talking, trying to answer the question while truly having no idea what was about to come out of my mouth, the Lord showed up in my heart. He allowed me to answer that question not just for the audience, but for myself. In one of the moments where I felt the least worthy, the Lord answered not just the interviewer’s questions but my own questions: What is my value? How much am I worth? Where should my confidence originate from? That day and that interview marked a turning point for me — I wasn’t exactly sure what came next, but I chose to remember who had made me, and with that assurance came a new type of confidence. Oftentimes we don’t choose to stop and help someone who needs it because it’s either inconvenient or we don’t think we have enough to offer to really make an impact.
