It might be cheaper for you to fly to Japan and go to Disneyland instead of California or Florida! We just got back from our 3rd visit to Tokyo DisneySea + Disney Land and had the best time. We realized it was cheaper for us to fly there and visit over the other Disney resorts! Here’s a full price breakdown: Round trip direct flights from Honolulu to Tokyo: $1050 TOTAL for all 4 of us! We flew Zip Air and the kids both got a discounted ticket. Hotel: $520 total for 2 nights in a room with 3 queen beds and a bunk bed. We stayed at the Sheraton Disney this trip and loved it. We’ve also stayed at the Hilton andn Maihama in the past and had great experiences too. This is right in front of the monorail which drops you off at DisneySea in less than 2 minutes. Tickets: $250 total for two days! Our 3 years old was free, our 5 year old was $20 and my husband and I were $50 each. Food: $100 total for 2 days. This was lunch, dinner and snacks for a family of 4! The entire trip including flights, hotel, food, and tickets was $1850! Join me for one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life 🤤 It’s always been on my bucket list to eat at a Michelin Star and Cocina de Autor in Grand Velas Los Cabos made my dreams come true! It was an 8 course tasting menu with a cocktail (or mocktail) pairing and every bite blew my mind. I’d always been too nervous to try oysters but promised myself I’d eat everything they brought out, and it ended up being my favorite bite! If you’re staying at the @Grand Velas Los Cabos or the @grandvelasboutiquehotel it’s included in your all inclusive dining plan! If you aren’t staying at the hotel you can still make a reservation and pay this place a visit, you won’t regret it! What course looks the best to you? #myvelasexperience #cabo #cabomexico #michelinestar
Takayama is one of the most underrated places in Japan 🇯🇵 This was our third visit to Japan and we’ve seen Kyoto, Mt Fuji area and Tokyo. I 100% recommend visiting those places as well, but Takayama has become my new favorite! Things to do: * Higashiyama Walking Course . This is a 3 mile walk that takes you through neighborhoods, past temples and shrines, through the woods and along ancient cemeteries. This was my favorite thing we did in there! * Explore old town. They are known for their well preserved Edo era homes and neighborhoods. It feels like you’re taking a step back to Japan in the 1600’s. * Eat Hida beef! I’ll be dreaming of this until we visit again. This has won best beef in Japan several times and for good reason. It has so much fat marbling and is so tender it tastes like it will melt in your mouth. They offer this at restaurants all throughout the town! * Go to an onsen. This is the town of the natural hot springs and you can find them all over! * Spend time in nature! I was blown away by the natural beauty of this place. It’s in the center of the Japanese alps and felt like a smaller Switzerland. * Ride the Gattan Go! They turned an old railroad track into an e-bike course and built bikes that fit the whole family. You bike along the mountains and take in beautiful views. * Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Shirakawago. This is only an hour drive outside of the town and is well worth it! A beautiful river runs through this ancient preserved town. Best time to visit: We visited the very end of April- early May and had great weather! We were there over Golden Week (which I generally recommend avoiding) but it still wasn’t very crowded! The fall looks insanely beautiful and you can ski here in the winter! Tag someone you want to visit Japan with! 🍣🎌 #familytravel #japan #takayamaoldtown
