The Power of Closure: Why You'll Never Bump Into Someone Once the Door is Closed

Singapore, a small island nation where running into familiar faces is a common occurrence. Yet, I've never bumped into any of my ex-boyfriends since our breakups. It's not just a coincidence; I believe it's a sign of closure.

When a relationship ends, it's like a door closes, and our paths are no longer aligned. We move on, and God conspires to keep us apart. It's a natural process, and I've experienced it firsthand.

Except for one instance, when I was still hung up on an ex. I was driving near his neighborhood (which happened to be close to my office) and saw him at a traffic light, holding hands with another girl. They were carrying grocery bags, and I couldn't help but wonder how long he'd known her to be buying groceries together. That moment, all my lingering feelings vanished. It was as if God was telling me, "Move on, girl! He's moved on, and so should you!"

That encounter was no coincidence. It was a sign that I needed to let go and move forward. And I'm grateful for it.

I believe that once a chapter closes, our paths diverge, and we won't cross each other's paths again. It's a natural part of growth and moving forward.
