WE’RE ENGAGED! I was planning on making a sappy birthday post for Garet as it’s his birthday, but instead I’m making a sappy engagement announcement. We’ve been together for 9 years, and the fact that he can still surprise me and sweep me off my feet is truly beyond words for me. This was his birthday trip. The fact that he made it our engagement trip just shows how selfless he is. As we were walking our kayaks to dock on our favorite place on earth… my thoughts in my mind was “I wish I could get married here”. 15 minutes later her proposed. I thought it was fake. I honestly blacked out. But reliving this moment brings so much tears of joy. One time, many years ago Garet said to me: “I’ve found you and loved you in 1000 past lives and I will always find you in every future life” And I never forgot that statement because I felt the same exact KNOWING in that moment. I’ve never been in a rush to get married to Garet because I always knew he was for life. I never in a million years thought he’d propose in our favorite place on earth, but I should’ve know because he knows me better than I know myself. My message to my soulmate: I know I was born to be yours. And you to be mine. I’m so grateful we found each other in this chaotic unpredictable huge universe. But I know we are meant for each other. Home is always we you (and Bon Bon) are. Thank you for being everything I’ve ever dreamt of in a man. For showing me that men that are both the most kindest human beings and also strong and resilient exist. I’m so grateful I get to wake up to you everyday. I’m so grateful I get to do life with you. To laugh until we cry. To make jokes about the silliest things. To spend so many late nights talking about our dreams and passions and the impact we want to leave on this world. To be in a relationship that is so supportive and built on trust and communication and growth. I know that you are my grain of sand that is blowing in the wind… right to me. Billions of people on this earth… and I know with my whole heart… you are my miracle that I can’t ignore. I’m so excited for this next chapter of this life. He always comes back to mama 🥹🐶 In my learning other people’s choreos era cus I’m in a creative dance rut… but I’ve been finding more joy tapping into other peoples choreos and their creations I’d say for the last 6 months or so. I haven’t found any songs that inspire me to WANT to create. And honestly, it’s all good. I’m not putting the pressure on myself to create, because dance was always meant to be an OUTLET for me not something I “HAD” to do. And when it started feeling forced, I stopped enjoying it so much. Idk how I got into this rant, but I guess my message is to release the pressure we put on ourselves. That “should” this and “should” that.
