Yogi loved hanging with my cousin up on the couch ! My cousin came to build our new fence with my husband. Yogi always loves when he visits but for safety we still bring Yogi outside to meet him first so he can smell him rather than have him just walk in to the house, very important. After maturing, a lot of these dogs will not only not accept strangers but also will no longer accept people they used to & will only be OK with immediate family. If handled properly that is, many times they wont even accept all or some of the immediate family living in the home. It’s very important to be constantly working with them & bonding even as they get older, Yogi is about to turn 5 ! These dogs are known as the ultimate guard dogs while also bring extremely loyal to family, fearless, powerful, masisve with an extreme bite force. A lot of unique care goes into them. Most vets, trainers & groomers refuse to work with them and/or never heard of them & still wont especially after maturing. Even though this breed is so rare, theyre still SO often abandoned, rehomed, sheltered and/or euthanized. They are an amazing breed, ancient & bred to protect against wolves & bears.
